The improved common rail injection system and new turbochargers contribute to greater efficiency. The cooling system also allows for rapid and notable thermal relief of the engine, ensuring consistently high and long-lasting performance.

In terms of environmental friendliness, the MAN V8-1300 meets the current US EPA Tier 3, IMO Tier II and EU Stage IIIA emission requirements and can therefore be used in all public and popular areas.
