ZF 280-1 A SuperShift2

Description

Completely tested, reliable and simple to install. The ZF 280 1 A Super Shift 2 is a reverse reduction marine gearbox with mechanically operated multi-plate clutches.

Its robust design also allows continuous service in workboat applications and is particularly suitable for high-performance applications on:

• luxury sailing boats;
• motor yachts:
• fishing boats.

It is compatible with all types of engines and propulsion systems, including water jets and surface drilling propellers, as appropriate.

Among its main components we find:

• 3 shafts allowing reverse transmission with hydraulic clutch mounted on the input shaft and another mounted on the reverse shaft and input unit on the opposite side to the output unit;
• a light and at the same time robust aluminium alloy case that can resist sea water;
• gear teeth casehardened and precision ground to allow long life and smooth operation;
• an output shaft thrust bearing that absorbs the maximum thrust of the propeller forward and backward;
• the fluid and reliable hydraulic gearbox, equipped with a control lever to allow the connection of the push-pull cable.

It is suitable for dual motor installations having the same ratio and torque capacity in forward or reverse mode.
