The C175-16 is the first Caterpillar marine engine to use ACERTTM technology, designed and built from the ground up. The maximum performance it offers does not limit its compliance with EPA Marine Tier 3 and IMO Tier II emission regulations without the need for after-treatment.

Its nominal values are particularly suitable for heavy-duty and continuous use, without limitations. Its power can always be improved and allows you to optimize productivity, reducing management costs.

It has a bore of 175 mm (6.9 in.) and a stroke of 220 mm (8.66 in.), making it highly efficient and particularly suitable for high rpm.
