The peculiarity of the C32 Acert auxiliary engines and generator sets is the after-cooling system, which features the separate “Separate Circuit After-Cooling” circuit called SCAC. This system:

  1. is available for all configurations;
  2. allows there to be less corrosion of the aftercooler through which sea water is unable to circulate.

 

It should be underlined that this engine was designed and produced with the aim of reducing both operating and ownership costs.

Additionally, engines rated to EPA Tier 3, IMO II, EU Stage IIIA standards are available with heat exchanger (allowing optional forward mounting of the seawater pump) or keel cooling.
